Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Isabel grew up just outside New York City. She graduated from Parsons School of Design, in New York City (a Division of the New School) with a degree in Environmental Design. While intending to move to Barcelona not long after graduating, she made a pit stop in New Mexico (where she met her future husband John De Puy) and never left. She has been painting and exhibiting her work regionally, in the Southwest, for over 25 years. Working primarily with oils on paper and canvas, her art is vivid in color, contemporary in style and entirely inspired by nature.
